Bona Furtuna Biancolilla Centinaria Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2023

Bona Furtuna comes to us from Corleone, Sicily.

A modern-day “industrialist” has invested some of his fortune back into his grandmother’s land, to preserve the treasures of Sicily for generations to come. It is the mission of Bona Furtuna to produce traditional Sicilian products, to locate and propagate “almost extinct” varieties of olive trees, and do good by donating profits to charities.

Biancolilla Centinaria is a rare tree and we are fortunate for their mission to bring back the treasures of Sicily. This olive oil has flavor notes of medium green fruitiness with hints of wild herbs and flowers. The flavor is intense yet balanced with bitterness and pungency, structured with green aromatics of almond, artichokes and tomatoes. It is persistent, and balanced. A few can note the pungency of apple and vanilla sensations. Give this a try!
