Michele Ferrante Zuppa Bean Soup Mix Slow Food Presidio

Along with great olive oil, we like to find excellent quality foods, paired to olive oil, in the heritage of traditional Italian foods.

This blend of beans from five Slow Food Presidii also brings together three regions of Italy. From Campania, the white Controne beans and the Cicerale chickpeas; From Tuscany the red beans of Lucca, and from Marche, the Cicerchie of Serra di Conti. This blend is a result of painstaking research by Michele Ferrante and his partners in the Slow Food Movement. 

This combination of legumes is perfect. The package includes directions for soup. Plan to soak for 6-8 hours and then it is recommended to cook soup for 90 minutes.
