Il Palagio Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2023 by Sting

You may not know the name of Il Palagio, but we trust that you'll be interested in this fine new olive oil from the musician, Sting, and his wife, Trudie Styler, from their estate located near Figline Valdarno, southeast of Florence. 

We were impressed by the quality of the production. Don't think of this as a celebrity olive oil. This is produced by an estate with a genuine interest in their trees and production. 

The olives, harvested at the end of October are a blend of Frantoio (40%), Moraiolo (40%), and Leccino (20%). Certified Organic.

Recommended pairings include Tuscan favorites, such as bistecca, chick pea soup, other velvety vegetable soups, and roasted vegetables. Chianina beef carpaccio with porcini mushrooms, spinach salad, grilled radicchio, lentil soup, artichoke pasta dishes, oven-baked oily fish, red meat, grilled game, mature firm-textured cheeses.
