Sweet Christmas panettone treat from Sicily. This is baked with extra virgin olive oil, created by the collaboration between Frantoi Cutrera and Pasticceria Filippi, a historic producer of panettoni and cakes. This special panettone blends Frantoi Cutrera’s extra virgin olive oil instead of butter, together with Filippi’s natural slow leavening, to achieve a light, soft, tasty dough.
A traditional Italian treat, Panettone dough rises over several days to achieve the soft yet stranded texture. The long curing of the dough, with the addition of dried or candied fruit brings forth a wonderful texture and fragrance.
Panettone is served for dessert, often with trays laden with cookies, torrone and panforte. Some prefer it on the table at brunch. Later in the season, use the last of it for the best French Toast you have ever had.
Our panettone is moist and sweet, crafted in Italy by artisan bakers. Slice into wedges to serve.

Ingredients: Wheat flour, raisins 15.7%, fresh free range egg yolk, candied orange peel 11.4% (orange peel, glucose syrup, sugar), extra virgin olive oil 8.1%, water, cane sugar, natural yeast (wheat flour, water), Italian honey, emulsifiers: mono and diglicerides of fatty acids, salt, natural flavoring (vanilla pods). Produced in a facility that also uses nuts, milk, and soy.
