Only made once a year, these Colomba cakes are shaped like a Dove, as beautiful to look at as they taste! These springtime cakes are a similar recipe to Christmas panettone.
The Colomba is rich in Amarena cherries and chocolate morsels. It is spectacularly moist and fragrant and is topped with crunchy candied sugar to create a delightful flavor combination. This Albertengo Colomba is perfect in the morning, afternoon, or evening.
Packaged in a festive, hand-wrapped paper with ribbon, they make the perfect hostess gift and they delight kids of all ages. Inspired by a generation of Italian bakers in Torre San Giorgio, in the province of Cuneo in Piemonte.
Like all of Albertengo's baked goods, these Colomba's use only Italian free-range eggs. Another Albertengo masterpiece, this panettone is rich in Amarena cherries and morsels of chocolate. It is a spectacularly moist and fragrant and is an outstanding flavor combination.
